Supergirl Christmas Gifts

The Holiday season is unfortunately behind us meaning I have to face the drudgery of the upcoming winter.

But there is still time to reminisce about the holidays and to share some Supergirl gifts that happened this season.

First off, I have to thank my friend Russell Burbage for sending me this great Christmas gift, a Paul Kupperberg autographed Supergirl postcard. This postcard is based on the Daring New Adventures of Supergirl #1 postage stamp of 2006. Just So fantastic!

To be honest, I had no idea that postcards were made of these stamps to begin with!

What a great addition to my Supergirl collection! The postcard alone would be fantastic! But adding the Kupperberg autograph makes this priceless.

Thanks so much Russell!

Here was the sheet of postage stamps including the Supergirl ones!

And then blog friend Gene sent me these pictures, the Christmas gift his sister gave him!

It is the new Supergirl Lego figure ... but delivered in a iPhone package!

How great is that!

The figure alone would be a great gift, but the packaging is great. It looks like Supergirl is saying 'hello' to the world.

Love it.

And Gene added this comment:
If I was promoting the CBS show, I would have a poster of Supergirl floating in the sky with just "Hello" above her. Tell me that would not get people's attention.

I agree.

So there are the Supergirl gifts from this holiday season. Anyone get any good loot?

That is a cool present, and a pretty great idea from Gene too. They should do something like that!

Hi Anj! Happy new Year!
I didn't get any Supergirl gift, but again, I'm more of a Superman guy, so my girlfriend made me by hand a customised superman shoes, she painted them and all with pictures of superman and it was pretty awesome, sorry that I can't seem to share pictures in the comments lol.
Anyway, hope you have a great year and you enjoy the rest of the smallville run, I don't read much DC lately but I do read your blog every day, so let's hope some good stuff comes out this year.

And as always, read Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man :)

Thanks for the comments!

Love the shoe idea!

And I have been thinking about my failed promise about Miles! Remind me what trade to get first? I have a gift certificate to spend at my LCS!

Really? The first volume with Miles would be "Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man vol.1: Who is Miles Morales?", this would be it: http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Comics-Spider-Man-Vol-1/dp/0785157131

Hopefully you'll find it, and I really hope you enjoy it, I really liked it and the series is strong and a really good read in trade, so I hope you enjoy it, let me know what happened :D

Hey Anj,
I thought you and your readers might be interested in a book I've just published: THE UNPUBLISHED COMIC BOOK SCRIPTS OF PAUL KUPPERBERG, which contains the unpublished scripts to the first two issues of the Supergirl feature that was supposed to appear in DC DOUBLE COMICS, the title that was scheduled to follow the cancelled SUPERGIRL (and NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERBOY) title but which never happened because of CRISIS. It also features the never-before published scripts to the last issue of SUPERBOY and his two DC DOUBLE COMICS appearances. It also has an introduction by comics historian John Wells that explains the history and continuity background. Signed & personalized copies are available directly from me via eBay at:

Hope you don't mind me plugging this here! Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions about the book!
