Another of the DC offerings on Free Comic Book Day earlier this month was this DC Kids Mega Sampler which included pages and stories from Billy Batson: Power of Shazam, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Tiny Titans.
The supergirls at home enjoy both Tiny Titans and Brave and Bold. I don't get them monthly, but probably every other month or so (as well as the occasional Super Friends). So this was the first issue they grabbed on FCBD.
For me, it was a good issue because it allowed me to sample Power of Shazam, a book I haven't bought before. The Batman:Brave and Bold story was a typically solid story by Landry Walker and Eric Jones contrasting the physicality of Batman with the more cerebral and complex nature of J'onn J'onzz. I had a panel from that story to post but I can't find it on my PC. Trust me ... good stuff.
But the real treat was that Supergirl and the Superman family were a big part of the Tiny Titans story.

The book uses Match, Superboy's quasi-Bizarro, as an easy comic element. So I knew hi-jinks would ensue when Supergirl and Streaky head to the Fortress for Match's birthday party.
When Match blows out the candles, he overdoes it, freezing the cake.
I love the overly dramatic response by Supergirl when that happens. Look at the agony on her face. Oh the humanity!! Too funny!
In a separate story, the school's Brainiac Club takes a field trip to the North Pole.
As always, I love the continuity that is wormed into this book. We see the Silver Age Brainiac, the animated Brainiac, the Byrne Brainiac, the silver robot Brainiac, even Brainiac 13 and Brainiac 8! But best of all, there is Brainiac 5! Will we get a Supergirl/Brainiac 5 interaction in Tiny Titans too?

If they ever make Tiny Titans figurines I hope they make a clear stand for Supergirl so she is always floating above her spot on the shelf.
Any word on which issue picks up the second part of the two part story in it?
ooops! Just read the tiny print on the picture! Blushing big time here.
