Revamped Supergirl Shrine

For those who don't know, I recently moved into a new home. That means setting up a new office/comic book room/sanctum sanctorum.

It also meant packing up the Supergirl collection and bringing it all back out.

I was excited to get the display up to give me a sort of anchor amid the unpacked boxes and piles of stuff.

With the new set up established, I thought I would share it here.

Rather packed shelves meaning, incredibly, I might need to think hard about either increasing the shelf space or being more selective in my merch purchases. But I think it looks pretty slick in total.

Keep reading for a sort of shelf-by-shelf breakdown.

The top open shelf needs to display the largest pieces including the Bronze Age giant statue in the center. There are also the larger doll, Melissa Benoist Supergirl statue, and the Frank Cho and Joelle Jones statues.

But around those large pieces I have put the Supergirl tumblers and cups I have.

And then there is a sort of parade of smaller figurines.

The second shelf is a but squat meaning only smaller pieces could go here.

I decided to do a sort of staggered look of small busts and mini-statues here. I really love that Earth Angel Supergirl mini-statue a ton so glad it is in the front and semi-center.

Also there are most of the figures of the Michael Turner redesign with blue skirt/belly shirt.

And then two interesting pieces - the hot wheels van and the Bronze Age puzzle (a gift from good friend Rob Kelly)!

The next shelf is a mix of two versions of the character.

One is the white-shirt look of the animated series which eventually made it to the comics. Love the Artgerm statue as a sort of central piece.

Next to that are a variety of figures of a blue shirt/red skirt variety. This includes the Adam Hughes statue flying out.

The two Bruce Timm Supergirls in the back corners are a nice sort of bookends to the themes.

The next shelf is a collection of Melissa Benoist show statues and figures on the left.

The Crisis-era pieces hold up the center with the Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 cover statue getting the spotlight.

And then the New 52 pieces are on the left.

Add in a couple of puffy shirt/hot pants figure in the midst and you have a good looking selection.

The bottom shelf has the Silver Age selection with the Action Comics #252 statue as the anchor. Surrounding it are other pieces of either her leaving the rocket or sporting the Silver Age original look.

There are a few DC SuperHero Girl pieces.

And then some odds and ends - DC Bombshells, Injustice, Flamebird armor, Best Friends Forever, Elseworld's Finest, and Superwoman.

Of course, every shelf has a random figure here and there to round things out but I did my best to have sort of curated pieces together.

There is another piece on the way to the new address so most likely some new shrine post will be up soon.
