Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #25

I continue my look at the Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes book over on the Legion of Super-Bloggers. This week I cover Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #25.

Click here to head to the full review.

And continue reading for a great Supergirl moment!

Here is the key Supergirl moment as she is forced to try and restrain an enraged and confused Mon-El. I don't know how she knows that Pa sometimes broke a two by four over mules. But I love the sentiment. That is a fierce moment!

But there are enough continuity bombs lobbed by Mark Waid and Barry Kitson in this book to make an old Legion reader smile. Who are the Wanderers? Why do so many of their members look familiar? Who is their leader? What happened to Daxam?

There is a lot of new wrinkles to the Legion mythos in this particular issue which made it a very satisfying read. How was this book not a huge hit?

Thanks again for the review Anj. Love how the action is ramping up at this point.
And appreciate your insight into comics history to patch the gaps I'm not aware
of. I do see that I wasn't the only one confused by Supergirl's comment of "like
Pa says, sometimes you can reason with a mule, and sometimes you've gotta crack
him with a two by four!" much as it put a smile on my face.

I would hope that the 2004 reintro Kara did spend an extended time with the Kents,
though I don't recall any specific instances where it was explicitly shown. I do
love how Supergirl continues to be fairly front and center on all the action
though! Looking forward to next issue's review!
