Supergirl In Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

I love it when other Supergirl fans tip me off to news! It makes me really feel like this is a community.

So I'd like to thank Rich for cluing me in that Supergirl will appear as a playable character in the new Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes video game! I have said before that this is a golden age for Supergirl. I was thrilled she was in the DC Universe Online game. But a second video game featuring Supergirl? Amazing!

There is a lot to love here. Supergirl will probably be introduced to a whole new audience here. And probably a younger audience. And, moreover, it's in a Lego-fied version of the Matrix uniform with the red pleated skirt and full shirt.

There are all sorts of screen shots here:

But here are the other Supergirl shots.

A view from behind, showing the yellow symbol on the cape. Here, as above, she is seen floating over (presumably) Gotham City, right at the Ace Chemical factory. Has to be the Joker's stronghold.

This looks more like a game shot, what Supergirl will look like when you are actively playing her rather than watching some clip between game scenes.

This is such a great thing!

There is plenty of information about this game out there. Here is a wiki that goes over all the known characters in the game:

And this great video on YouTube about the game shows just how Batman and Superman are going to interact in the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TCReFADsyO8

This clip is so wonderful as these couple of interactions between the World's Finest team feels right on target. That is how I think of their relationship playing out.

But Supergirl in another video game is great news.
