DC Comics November 2026 Solicits

The November DC solicits were released recently and this seems like a bit of a quieter month. The Supergirl books sound intriguing albeit with the same sort of possible concerns I have had before. But overall the Super-books have really been clicking and this month sounds just as good, especially what Mark Waid is doing in Action.

SUPERGIRL #19

Kara Zor-El’s exposure to gold Kryptonite has left her without superpowers but not without super friends. The recently reborn Matrix and gloriously goth Nightflame get into a fight to prove themselves worthy of the Supergirl mantle, but another of Kara’s Super Force might surprise everyone. Meanwhile, Kara’s not just going to sit on the sidelines: She’s reenrolling at Stanhope! But will she make it past orientation with Reactron still on the loose?

One of my concerns with this book is how it is becoming a team book and not a Supergirl book. We have Super Force now and they are everywhere. Now in this solicit we find out that Kara is powerless in her own book. The cover shows Nightflame, Matrix, and ThunderGirl in prominent action poses. I'll have to see how all this pans out but I want Supergirl to be front and center.

As a fan of Matrix Supergirl I am excited to see what Sophie Campbell has in mind. And Kara going to Stanhope is cool. And Reactron! Yes! All that sounds great.

Kara and Kal’s journey to Earth has been waylaid by entry to an interdimensional wasteland filled with phantoms of their past, and the one thing standing in their way…is Zod.

I don't think I can say how charmed I am but this cover of big cousin Kara walking around with school age Kal. 

This sounds like a trip through the Phantom Zone which is cool. And is Zod *really* there? Or is he just a vision. Interesting.

A Black Lantern ring??? I wonder why it would want Superman, unless his 'death' is sort of recognized by it?

This sounds like a good hook and a sort of fresh story after the Krypton/Kryptonite heavy last year.

“Lex Luthor: Year One” continues! Young Clark Kent gains a new best friend as Lex Luthor moves back to Smallville—but will Clark’s influence be enough to turn Lex to the straight and narrow?

It seems like this means the 'Superboy' era of Action Comics is continuing if we are doing a Luthor in Smallville story. DC really seems to be giving Waid the keys to the continuity kingdom. Will we see a reimagination of some of the Silver Age stories with Luthor creating protomatter, etc?  Will we get a Byrne origin of his plotting his own parents' demise?

This made me happy.

At Terrificon, Dan Slott said he wants to do one Red Kryptonite story a year. We had 'Superman-Bat' early on. So this has to be the next.

I still think DC doesn't know what to do with Jon Kent. And I wonder if this is going to morph into a Superman & Son book. Plus, that Tomorrow Man costume has never really worked for me.

I wish we got sales reports about comics. Is Absolute Superman still selling well? Does a 'whole new era' mean the old era isn't selling well and we need a refresh? Or is it just that two years in we have finally finished 'the origin' and are ready to move forward 

Pretty hard sell with big names doing variants. 

I have liked this book as it has been so hope we aren't making to big a change.

I don't know if I am going to get this book but it sounds interesting.

Anyways, sounds like a good month. Hoping Kara remains the axle that her book spins on and we aren't getting too much focus on the new characters ...

What did I miss?
