Review: Tiny Titans 7

I remain unsure if I should continue to review Supergirl's appearances in Tiny Titans, but figure there is no harm in seeing how Kara is being treated in the Johnny DC titles.

In this month's main story, Starfire is called home to Tamaran to clean her bedroom. It seems silly even to type. Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, and Aqualad go on the trip to help her out. After cleaning Starfire's room, the Titans realize they have been gone for days and most likely are in trouble. They rocket back home.

Knowing they are in trouble, Robin calls upon Supergirl to save the day.

He asks her to turn back time Donner-style by flying around the world.

And yes!!!! She is able to do it, much to the delight of her friends.

Of course that means that Starfire's room is messy again, starting the whole story all over.

What can I say, it is suitably silly for the audience it is aimed for. And seeing Kara fly around the Earth a la Christopher Reeve was pretty nifty.

Also in this book was this full page ad for the announced (albeit without a release date) Supergirl:Cosmic Adventures in the Eighth Grade title aimed at the tweener crowd.

As I have a couple of young Supergirls at home, I am pretty interested in this title.

Overall grade: B+ (for a Johnny DC book)

  3. Tiny Titans is fun, and contains a surprising amount of DC history. It's written so that both kids and their comic geek parents can enjoy it, and is a great way to introduce the next generation to the DCU.

It is fun stuff no doubt.
And you're right in that it is fairly dense with DC history and minor characters, so much so my little Supergirls have to ask a lot of questions.

As long as it makes me grin, I will continue to review.

  6. Don't like the blue leggings on the "All Ages SG" costume, but that is a minor quibble..I too cannot wait to see this book.
I mean, Kara Zor El is a NATURAL for this kind of a book aimed at this particular audience...it's a wonder no one thought of it before.

I'm pretty much same come exactly what they chose to be presented for their finalized Supergirl's look in general here, ah. :/

I just wish they would announce when the comic is coming out!

It has been a while since the initial announcement. I was hoping it would be at the start of the school year.
