The place and it's people have become entirely too common - Krypton doesn't feel special any more. And unlike in the Silver Age, it's certainly not somewhere I'd want to visit. I'd like DC to ignore Krypton for a three or four years, and spent the time developing Superman's living supporting cast, and Metropolis.

As for this issue, it sounds entirely awful. But one of those pics does remind me of a favourite comic from when I was a kid.

http://www.comics.org/issue/24930/Martin Grayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09574149543260175962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2669531469217423923.post-44303154646720855572013-09-19T06:37:03.816-04:002013-09-19T06:37:03.816-04:00I thought Xa-Du might be the new Zod as well. But, with the movie and history, I am not surprised Zod returned.

An Anti-El league is actually a good idea given the amount of Jor-El obsession that is in the DCU these days.Anjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10023193805914075078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2669531469217423923.post-12802437637785156562013-09-18T20:32:20.721-04:002013-09-18T20:32:20.721-04:00Xa-Du was his own villain. I think Zod(at least someone who looks exactly similar to Geoff Johns Zod) in Action Conics#5. And I'm glad to kept most of his run in continuity after he leftMichealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15888574626825965738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2669531469217423923.post-36630078739739411702013-09-18T15:59:15.825-04:002013-09-18T15:59:15.825-04:00So Zod has sort of a monster fetish, right? That's probably why
he keeps Ursa,I mean, Faora and presumably Non around.

I wonder what his reaction would be if he meets H'El and Cyber
Zor-El, considering that they are both "Kon-El", as New52
Supergirl would put it. Abominations in the House of El.

Personally, I'd like Zod to smack them both upside the head,
and make them both join him, Faora and Non to make some
sort of House of El Revenge Squad.

Xa-Du isn't invited to this evil Kryptonian Gang though.
He's an untrustworthy jerk.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2669531469217423923.post-32614955598089686352013-09-18T10:15:46.940-04:002013-09-18T10:15:46.940-04:00I always thought Xa-Du, the Ghost from the Phantom...I always thought Xa-Du, the Ghost from the Phantom Zone in Morrison's run was supposed to be Zod.

Of course, I also knew once he left the series, DC would retcon Morrison's ACTION COMICS faster than Marvel retconned his NEW X-MEN.Count Drunkulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18130778855882160092noreply@blogger.com
